How to Change Your Life on the Way to Work

starting a law firm

These will change your life.

I read a lot. I read stuff about being a good lawyer. I read stuff about being good at business. I read stuff about finding and signing up clients.

Much of that material is contained in books. Most of that material is contained in blogs. Today I read a blog post that I just couldn’t sit on.

I had to tell you about it because it can help you change your life on the way to work.

What do You do on Your Way to Work?

If you are like most people, you put on your favorite morning radio show, whether it’s talk radio, sports radio, music, whatever.

But what if you took that time to make yourself better?

There’s an easy way to do it. I do it, and you should too.

Ever Heard of Seth Godin?

If your answer to that question is no, stop reading right now. Just go here and start reading. Nothing I am going to say is going to make more of a difference than the information he’s got.

If your answer to that question is yes, then that’s great. Today I read a blog post by him about listening to audio tapes on his way to and from work and the way it changed his life, his business, and his mindset.

Here’s the post – go read it and then come back (I’m trusting you’ll come back).

Today, Change Your Life, Download Some Audiobooks

Whenever you hear people that have reached pinnacles of success talk about how they achieved their dreams, you always hear a variation on a theme – they did the things other people didn’t want to do.

This is one of those things.

And, the great thing about this one thing is that it’s actually interesting and pretty passive. All you have to do is sit there and pay attention.

Whether you are starting a law firm or already in the middle of trying to build one, listening to audiobooks will dramatically change the ceiling for you.

What are you waiting for?

P.S. – if you listen to audiobooks and have any good ones to recommend, drop them in the comments. I’m always looking for good ones.

My favorite? The “New Psycho-Cybernetics” by Maxwell Maltz. Right now I’m listening to “Control Alt Delete” by Mitch Joel.
