When I opened my law firm 3 and 1/2 years ago, I didn’t really know anything about business. I didn’t know how to get clients, I didn’t know how to manage, I didn’t know what it meant to be a business owner.

And even today there are times when I question if I knew any more now than I did then, though of course I know that I do.

Law Firm Marketing is in the Stone Ages

One thing I do know is this – lawyer in general are not good business people. We are not entrepreneurs. It is not in our nature. We are lawyers. We like rules. We like sure things. We like consistency.

Because of this, law firm marketing, in many respects, is in the stone ages. It is light years behind many other industries. And we need to take advantage of that. This fact is the thing that lets new law firms like mine and your open up and make money quickly.

The Issue Still Remains, though, How Do You Do It?

Just because we know law firm marketing sucks, that most attorneys are terrible at it and survive based on blind luck alone, doesn’t mean we can just waive a magic wand and get good at it.

But recognizing the opportunity is half the battle. Now we just have to get out there and start DOING.

I’m Going to Start Doing and Hopefully Show You the Way

One of the things I think is missing when it comes to law firms and marketing a law firm are methods that have been tested and actually work. I also think there is a tremendous short fall when it comes to utilizing technology to make life easier and more abundant.

So we’re going to work on doing both of those things.

My Case Study Using Modern Marketing Techniques

For myself, and for all of you, I’m going to use my law firm as a case study to show the way that modern marketing techniques can transform a law firm into a thriving, money-making machine. These methods are not only going to get you more clients, but they are going to create happier clients, clients that want to send you even more business.

Where I’m Getting My Inspiration

There are two guys out there on the internet named Sterling and Jay. I was first turned on to them by their podcast, which is excellent. Their forte is not law firm marketing. It’s actually not law firm anything.

They are internet marketers. And what they do is share their experience and knowledge to help others create internet businesses.

And they are going to help us do the same thing.

I’ve signed up for their program and will be going through it step by step, letting you know what I’ve learned along the way. I’m going to try to get through it as quickly as possible, both so you can see that it works, and so I can see that it works (or doesn’t work, I guess).
