Happy New Year!
I hope you had a great night last night, had some fun times, made some good memories… and woke up early to get the kind of start you want on 2019!
It’s so easy to dismiss January 1 as the date to start everything. It’s a holiday. You were up late the night before. Blah, blah, blah.
Don’t do it, okay?
In honor of it being January 1, 2019, I thought I’d share with you my first journal entry of the year. This, along with a few other specific things, is how I start my day, everyday.
Clarity. Focus. Discipline. Those are my three focus words for the year. And they sound so simple. So easy. But they carry so much weight. To really codify what I want this year to be about, I have one big, overarching goal this year – show up every day and do the thing that needs to be done.
The reason I’m doing this is to really just see what happens. How much growth can I experience? How far can consistency take me? What kind of a person will that kind of discipline and commitment make me?
I’m not sure what 2019 has in store for me, and I don’t really care. I am in charge of my destiny. I control what happens. And I am going to kick the shit out of 2019.
Here’s to a great year!
P.S. – there’s another level to all of this… a place successful law firm owners come together to support each other, share what’s working for them, and raise their level of performance by being around other high performers. It’s called the Backroom. And it also happens to be the place I share all of my systems, process, marketing and advertising strategies, and do everything I can to help you win your game of life. You can check it out for free for seven days… what are you waiting for?
